SECOND ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH BENEFITING LAUSD HOMELESS EDUCATION PROGRAM

 Hollywood Celebrities and Local Vendors Work Together to Help Collect School Supplies Donation for LAUSD Homeless Education Program

 

Carson, CA (August 1, 2012) – On Friday, August 3, 2012, from 3pm - 6pm, SouthBay Pavilion, located at 20700 Avalon Blvd., Carson CA 90746, will host the Second Annual Back to School Bash to showcase the latest trends from Old Navy, JCPenney and Sanrio as well as help collect school supplies donation to benefit LAUSD Homeless Education Program.


SouthBay Pavilion has partnered with the LAUSD Homeless Education Program to host the annual Back to School Bash not only to showcase the latest fashion but also to help increase awareness of how many homeless children and teens need supplies to attain proper education.

Kivon Lindley, a professional runway and print model coordinates the models and the merchandise for the show. Compton High School Marching Band and New Millennium Secondary School will be performing their school drills. Hollywood Special Guest Celebrities such as Kevin McCall (featured with Chris Brown on “Deuces”), Meaku (International Pop/R&B singer), Cobeh Obeah (talented lyricist), ATM & IMD (youtube sensation known for “Bernie Lean” Dance) and No Break In Time (featured on Disney’s hit show “Shake it Up) will be performing for the show.

Local vendors such as My Beauty Inc. (providing makeup for the models), Cupcake Cuties Cupcakery (providing snacks for the models and staff), WeFunctionLA and CEOtv (red carpet host) will also be at the event to support the good cause.

Audience and Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies donation for a chance to meet the celebrities on the Red Carpet.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

SouthBay Pavilion in Carson, California, is located immediately off the 405 Freeway with direct exposure to over 350,000 cars daily in the Los Angeles Trade Area.
