SOUTHBAY PAVILION CELEBRATES CINCO DE MAYO AND MOTHER’S DAY

Carson, CA (May 4, 2011) – On Saturday, May 7th, 2011, from 12pm – 1pm,  SouthBay Pavilion located on 20700 Avalon Blvd. Carson, CA 90746 will celebrate its first annual Make-Over Mom event in recognition of all mothers who were nominated as 2011 “Super Moms”. Following the Mother’s Day celebration, from 1pm – 5pm, will be a Cinco de Mayo event organized by the City of Carson’s Mayor Pro Tem Julie Ruiz-Raber.

“It’s going to be a busy Saturday for us in addition to our Mall Wide Sale Event” says Sweeney Montinola, the Marketing Manager at SouthBay Pavilion.  Following the Mother’s Day celebration, the Cinco de Mayo event will feature local talents such as the Carson Mariachi Academy, Alma de Oro Folklorico dance group, vocalist Angelina Vargas and Faisan Folklorico dance group.

Local companies such as the Trans World Alloy Co., Watson Land Co., Cormier Chevrolet, Avalon Courtyard, Clear Channel, Community Dynamics, and Kruger Tow Inc. together with SouthBay Pavilion are sponsoring the Cinco de Mayo event.
