“CELEBRATE THE PAST TO INSPIRE THE FUTURE” BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT AT SOUTHBAY PAVILION

February 18, 2019, Carson, CA –L.A. South Chamber of Commerce celebrates Black History Month on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 1 PM to 5 PM at SouthBay Pavilion Center Court located at 20700 Avalon Blvd., Carson CA 90746.

The Black History Month event will commemorate the 400th year of African American slavery in the U.S.A. with special guests and exhibitions from the African American Fire Fighters Museum, Tuskegee Airmen, Montfort Point Marines, and Buffalo Soldiers. “We are very excited to host this event for the second time!” Dexter Mcleod, President of the L.A. South Chamber of Commerce said. “SouthBay Pavilion has been a great partner in celebrating Black History every year. This opportunity gives us a chance to share historical facts through our fun trivia activities, performances, and special guests.”

Motown band, Seville, will entertain the crowd with live entertainment along with dance, poetry, vocal performances, and a fashion show featuring African clothing from one of SouthBay Pavilion’s stores, Bia Maranatha. There will be vendor booths promoting services, merchandise, and handcrafted items.
