Carson, CA (July 26, 2012) – On Saturday, August 4, 2012, the SouthBay Pavilion located at 20700 Avalon Blvd., Carson CA 90746 will host the 3rd Annual Back to School Health Fair from 11am – 5pm, right after their One Year Zumba Fitness Anniversary Party at 8:30am -10am.
SouthBay Pavilion MALL POWER campaign, launched in 2011, focuses on helping the community become more health conscious as obesity rates have recently increased. This includes events such as Health Fairs, weekly Farmer’s Market, weekly Zumba Saturdays, weekly Salsa Mondays and weekly Kids Club Thursdays.
The One Year Zumba Fitness Anniversary will kick off the event from 8:30am – 10am with 100+ attendees. Proceeds will be donated to Social Impact Productions Crew, a YFSC-PIA (Youth, Family, School, Community – Partnership In Action) group promoting local events to benefit charities.
The 2012 Back to School Health Fair will feature the following health screenings:

- Free Vision Test by Dr. Shiomi’s Optometry with The Lions Club 12pm-4pm
- Free Glucose Screening by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
- $5 Body Composition Test by West Coast Sports & Fitness Center
- Free Child ID by New York Life Insurance
- Free Orthotic Foot Scan by Bay Chiropractic
- Free Financial Screening by HPP Cares
