Aple.de.ap from Black Eyed Peas will be at SouthBay Pavilion
Apl.de.ap from Black Eyed Peas as Guest Judge for Filipino Americans Got Talent at SouthBay Pavilion Mall in Carson
Carson, Ca (October 17, 2012) Filipino American Apl.de.ap of the Grammy award winning Black Eyed Peas will be at the SouthBay Pavilion, located at 20700 Avalon Blvd., Carson CA 90746, on Saturday, October 27 at 1 pm as a Guest Judge for the Filipino Americans Got Talent Event. Apl.De.Ap, through his Apl Foundation has been helping build schools in the Philippines and it has also helped with disaster reliefs.
Born Allan Pineda Lindo, Apl.De.Ap was recently appointed as the Ambassador for Peace by Philippine President Noynoy Aquino. He has consistently been involved in educating Filipino children by providing children with school supplies and the construction of school buildings in impoverished areas.
Aple.de.ap is also involved in nurturing local artists and DJs in Los Angeles through his own music company Jeepney Music. He also worked with the Philippine Department of Tourism to promote the beautiful spots in the country through the song, “Take Me to the Philippines”. He has proudly upheld his culture as a Filipino into his collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas.
On October 27, Apl.de.ap will be judging the final competition of the Filipino Americans Got Talent (FAGT) at the SouthBay Pavilion. Another judge in the finals will be Jason Farol, third placer of the Duets singing competition. The contest will have two divisions, age 5-13 and 14- 24. The Filipino American History Month is organized by the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce South Bay Los Angeles, the City of Carson and SouthBay Pavilion. This event is FREE and open to the public.
